Transfers
So first of all, can you believe Thanksgiving is this week!? I sure can’t! Along with that transfers are this Wednesday! YIKES! But just so everyone knows, I AM NOT GETTING TRANSFERRED!! I’m staying in Hoover, Alabama so my address will be staying the same. My companion on the other hand, is leaving. She was my trainer and she was fantastic! I will miss her! She has been here for 6 months! Can you believe it! That’s 1/3 of her mission. Ha.
Anyways, That’s the main thing that I wanted to say ha but another thing, we had an investigator DROP US! We didn’t drop them, she dropped us. That was heart wrenching….My companion had been working with her for a while and she just flat out told us she didn’t want to read anymore. But we are more than welcome to come over anytime we wanted. Well gee what do we say to that? It was hard. We walked back to our car, crying, we hugged and said a prayer for the Lord to continue to work on her heart.
My time is gone but know I love y’all so very much! My prayers are with each of you and I hope y’all are doin well.

P.S. Who knew the humidity is FREEZING! When the wind blows, it goes straight to your bones! /: AH! Glad we have a car! π
Roll Tide
‘So the bad news is, we don’t have the right tool to fix your bike, but we know how to! The good news is that Alabama won last night? #Rolltide’
I couldn’t help but laugh because how they new we won was just funny and the fact they used a question mark and a hash tag? Who does that!? It’s also sad because one of those elders was just a visa waiter and he leaves today! He’s going to Bolivia. It’s was great to get to know him though!
This past week was good. I have been praying in faith that the work will be picked up because yall know my companion and I have been struggling with finding people to teach. Well, the same Spanish Elders have given us 6 referrals this past week. CRAZY! And then we also met this guy named Lewis. He is a religion major! We were talking about different things and then he says this:
“The main difference that I see is that I believe that Jesus Christ is my savior and redeemer. That he died and suffered for me. And y’all believe in that Joseph dude.”
I couldn’t help but laugh at these words! I just had never come across anyone who thought we worshiped Joseph Smith which was hilarious! We asked him how he felt about Moses, Noah, and Abraham. Then we explained Joseph is just like these men. He was a prophet of God. That made sense to him. It just really made me laugh and while I was listening to what he was saying and as my companion answered questions, I could feel my heart beating and I thought to myself, ‘Okay, I know you’re there but what are you trying to tell me.’ I then had the thought to leave him with something and I was going through my mind maybe the Book of Mormon, no that wasn’t right. Based on what he was saying, he wouldn’t read that. Then I thought about a pamphlet, that could work, I could leave him with a Restoration pamphlet, then he said he didn’t want to learn about Joseph Smith. That idea was out. THEN! Oh my goodness then I thought about our scripture study class! DING DING DING! I invited him to our scripture study class that we started and gave him the card about where and when it was held. He said no promises but he was interested. I could tell ha. It was awesome! I think it would be great to have him at our class to have a religion major there! CRAZY! It was exciting.
So that is my awesome story for the week!
And also I forgot to mention this last week, but I had a member mention to me that I reminded him of Elizabeth Smart ha. That my smile was fantastic and that the way I enunciated my words was so clear! He loved it ha. I told him to thank my mother. π
Well I love you all and y’all are doin well!

Excerpts From Mom’s Email
I got complemented on the way I speak ha… He said “Your enunciation of your words is so clear, I can understand it perfectly” He then told me that I reminded him of ‘Elizabeth Smart’ with the way I looked and smiled and spoke. (: I told him to thank my mother. π
*I kinda plan on losing that enunciation with bein here in the south. (: Sorry ha!
I love you! π
*Oh I can hear it when I’m around certain people and I’ve caught it a couple time already. It’s goin….. π
I love you so much mom! Remember to stay close to Heavenly Father! (:
So anyways, this week was good! Interesting ha.
I met a guy who was a religion major! He was the type who thought we worshiped Joseph Christ. We set him straight and I even invited him to our scripture study class we started! I really hope he comes because he would be very interesting to watch as we teach about the New Testament.
So I was thinking, with the blanket, I might buy a new one here…I found a really cute one ha. But I need to know if you have sent it already or are going to send it soon. Because I don’t know if I should buy it. What do you think? It’s a queen ha so I would have a new comforter for when I get home! I’m wondering. Maybe even second guessing myself. I dunno. It was really cute though.
So what’s been going on there? I want to know how life is adjusting without me.
How’s Wyatt been? Still not really doing anything with his life or is he? Has he gone to a college ward yet? He needs too.
Transfers are NEXT WEEK!! This week is the last in this transfer. It’s crazy. Weird thinking 6 weeks has already gone by. I will have 1 more P day (after today) in this transfer then Wednesday(the 26th I think) is transfers. I find out this Saturday if I am to be moved or not. So I can tell you next Monday! Time seriously flies so fast out here…
I love you and hope you are doing well!
Tell your kiddies I said hi! (:

1 Month!
So as of last Saturday, I have been on my mission ‘officially’ for 1 month! Crazy how time flies. But in about a week and a half I will have been in the field for 1 month. Ha we have a joke with one the elders I work with… He came out in July and is always saying ‘Yes, 20 more months!’ Then I say, ‘Only 17 more months!’ He gets kinda bummed about that because I got here after him and I’m leaving before him! Poor Elder Hadley ha. It’s great though. I like the elders in my area.
So as I said, Time flies! I can not believe it’s November! Who would have thought! I know I wouldn’t have…
So for those of you who don’t know. When I got to the field I did not have a bike yet. I finally purchased one last week and it got here Friday! So Friday night me and Sister Carlson ha took like an hour and a half putting it together! It was so much fun and kinda frustrating, but hey! That’s life of a missionary. So anyways Saturday, we decided to go biking! Oh my goodness it was so much fun! As long as there isn’t too many hills. It made me want to bike more! But sadly, Sister Carlson’s pedal is falling off. So now we are back to walking and riding in the car. Not that it’s a bad thing but we have limited miles and we kinda have a big area…
So how was everyone’s Halloween? Mine was alright. We couldn’t do much…We studied ha. A lot. It didn’t feel like Halloween either. Here they don’t do a lot of trick or treating just because it’s not very safe I guess for the kids. Which I don’t understand if the parents are with them. But the library did a little trick or treatingΒ thing and the mall did one, and I guess even some stores! It was interesting to see.
So that’s about it really. I don’t have any cool stories this week expect just whenever we tell people we are missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints people just say not interested. Pretty normal though.
But I hope everyone is doing well! And remember I love hearing from everyone even if I can’t write to everyone each week!
I love you all and pray for all of you!

Sister Drummond
