Work is Being Hastened
I forgot to mention last week though, that it had snowed again, but it had melted all the next day ha. Oops. So we did NOT get any snow days again, thank the Lord! (:
Anyways, this week, so I went on exchanges with the Sister Training Leaders and we actually met this ADORABLE old woman whose name is Melissa Spencer and she sounds like Mickey Mouse. Cutest person EVER! She is 93 years old! But anyways, we raked her ENTIRE yard that was literally COVERED with pine needles. It was the best service ever. But we got a picture with her but I will have to send it next week because I didn’t use my camera to take the picture… sorry.
But also!! You will not believe, we have an investigator who is 16 years old named Christina! She is amazing and we are going to give her a baptismal date this week! She is Catholic BTW haha. (: And she has been to church twice already!! Now the second one came to church yesterday as well…we had 2 investigators at church yesterday!! It was awesome! (: Great things are coming to the Hoover ward. Because this past Saturday we hit 6 baptisms out of 12 for this year for our ward goal on baptisms! We are exploding! (: It will be great. (: Oh my goodness y’all I hope you are feeling my excitement and joy from this email!! (:
THIS WORK IS AMAZING AND I LOVE BEING ABLE TO SERVE MY GOD WHO IS MY HEAVENLY FATHER!!
I love y’all so much and I hope y’all have an amazing week!
Remember who y’all are and remember THE LORD LOVES YOU!
P.S PICTURES!! (: The group is my old district, before transfers. There is one of me and Sister Dormer in the car. (: And the one of the 3 girls and with a member April Cook, we went to the hotel the new missionaries stay in and we played a prank of them where, I was a member, April was ‘Sister Dormer’ And Sister Dormer was ‘Sister Drummond’ It was awesome because the next day @ transfer meeting, they were all so confused! (: It was hilarious haha.
Sister Drummond Reporting In
Sister Drummond here with not much to report.
Not much happened this week, we had transfer calls on Saturday and looks like I will be staying in Hoover for another transfer! Crazy! I will be here for 6 months. Yikes. Time files. I’m staying with my same companion, Sister Dormer which I’m again, very happy about! (: Because I love her so so much! Hehe.
The Hoover ward had another baptism on Saturday! We are already doubled the baptisms we had next week with 4 more planned this weekend! It’s a family! I’m excited. Work is definitely being ‘hastened’ (: Which brings me to my next thing.
We had district meeting on Saturday morning and an Elder told us, ‘We keep hearing the hastening of the work is here, but actually, the hastening of the work was yesterday, we just need to jump on board!’ So to y’all, jump on board! It’s going whether you are ready for it or not haha! (:
That’s about it for me this week.
Hope to hear from y’all again next week! And have a fantastic week!
Steadfast in Christ!
Love,
Sister Drummond
P.S I have pictures but I will send them next week! (:
ABM Winter!
But not much happened this past week. I feel like I’ve been getting fed more which is good but…I want to lose weight! l: Ha but I love myself the way I am and I know that if I do gain weight I have all the time in the world when I get home to lose it. But I still want to be well…not a balloon! (:
The weather is crazy. One day it’s cold, one day it’s warm. It’s ridiculous but normal for Alabama haha. This week we are ‘supposed’ to be getting hit with another snow storm… l: I can’t take another quarantined day! THE WEATHER CAN’T MAKE ME! But if it happens, it happens…
So yea, again not much has happened. I can tell the work is being hastened here in the south! (:
Oh some quick stats:
Last month The ABM(Alabama Birmingham Mission) passed out 2,300 Books of Mormon!
The ABM has the most missionaries in the world.
The ABM has the most Sister Missionaries in the world.
Who would have thought!
Just another reason that the south is where it’s at haha!
Well I love y’all so much! I hope everything is going well.
Hope y’all have a happy Valentines Day! And for all my missionary friends who are receiving my emails, KEEP YOUR HEARTS LOCKED! (:
Love,
Sister Drummond

Snowpocalypse
Y’all, we got a blizzard this past week! Tuesday it hit us and they shut down EVERYTHING! It was insane. I only saw a small fragment of what it was really like and the cars that were parked along and IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREETS, reminded me of ‘The Walking Dead’ ha. If y’all don’t know what that is, it’s a zombie show. It looked like a zombie apocalypse had happened. Stranded vehicles all over! Ridiculousness! And a lot of people think ‘well it was only 3 inches of snow, can’t people drive in it!?’ And it wasn’t just the 3 inches of snow, it was because of the humidity down here, that bottom layer had froze over. There was a layer of ice over the entire ground. EVERYWHERE! It was bad. There were people left in their cars on highways for 2 days with no water. Crazy.
I was stuck in my apartment for 2 days and I was going out of my mind with nothing to do ha. I never want another snow day on my mission again.. But they say that these snow storms happen every like 30 or so years. Maybe not even that. So I think I’m good. (:
Y’all wanna know the funny thing, by the time Friday hit, the temperature was back up to 50 and 60. Saturday had a high of 70! It was so hot, I was sweating while I was tractin ha.
So anyways, my team up with President Hanks, That was awesome! (: Kinda nerve wracking for me but he rarely gets to be a ‘missionary’ ha. It was fun. (:
Also, he taught our bible study class on Thursday. Boom! Power housin it up! The spirit was so powerful there. (: He taught the last 3 chapters in Matthew which is I hope some of y’all know! The atonement. (:
This past week has kinda been a set back what with the snow and all. But I know this week will turn out to be awesome! (: I can not this believe this transfer is almost over… I only have 2 and a half weeks left! Yikes. President told us that I would be leaving first, and that was ‘duh’ moment for us but it makes me wonder if he means this next transfer. ): I hope not!
But I’m alright, I survived the snowpocalypse! 😉
I’m ready for anything!
Hope y’all are doing well!
Love,
Sister Drummond
