Trials and Tribulations

Mom’s Email: Cool Experience
Alright, so this is a bit weird because I am on an iPad sitting in the church using its wifi. But, I’m here. (:
So you are out for school now huh? How does it feel? (: I think that is crazy how fast it went by!
So guess where I got to go on Friday!!!???
We went to Mephis!!! That is out of our MISSION BOUNDRIES!! Haha. We went with the recent convert Amanda. She is so great. That is whose iPads we are using. But it was awesome. I do have pictures that I will have to send next week. I got some really pretty pictures. (: but next year we can go to Elvis’s Museum if you would like… (:
It was really cool, but one of the workers, oh it was so dumb, he wouldn’t let us do the baptisms because he said, ‘missionaries aren’t supposed to get wet!’ Missionaries have done baptisms before and how does he think Elders baptize people? Oh it made me a little frustrated but that is okay. Our Recent Convert did it and another member and she loved it.
I love you though! Have a great week!!!
“It’s not a religion. It’s not a church. It’s who I am!”
I know I’ve been having a hard time lately but all the prayers y’all have been saying have really been helping! Thank y’all so much! (: This week was the ‘spiritual boost’ I needed to get going again. I didn’t mention last week because I forgot, but we went to the temple again last Tuesday! Such a fantastic boost! For those of you who have not been to the temple in a while, Y’ALL NEED TO GO!!! I’m not even kidding, it will bless your life and you will feel the Lord in your life.
The Lord has also sent people in my path that either needed my influence or I needed theirs. He is answering my prayers! (:
Yesterday during the sacrament, it was the first time in a while that I really felt the Spirit speak to me during the sacrament. The sacrament is a blessing! Remember to use Christ’s Atonement. He did that sacrifice for US. Even the smallest of sins need to be repented of. But as long as we CONTINUE to do better each day, God will bless us.
This ‘spiritual boost’ that I needed has been an encouragement from God. He is encouraging me to keep going and that everything will work out. (: I AM A CHOSEN SERVANT TO TAKE PART IN THE HASTENING OF THE WORK.
Oh and my mom wanted me to put on this web address of my blog I guess. So if you are interested take a look! (:

Mom Email – Random Thoughts
And transfers, I’m staying in Hoover again…but sadly Sister Christensen is getting transferred… ): It’s okay though. I guess other people need her more than me… ):
And guess what!?!?!
WE GOT SOMEONE COMMITTED TO BAPTISM!! I’m so happy. We met her 2 weeks ago and then last week we committed her to baptism and this week when we go see her again, we are going to set up a date. Oh my goodness I was freaking out when I came out of that lesson. The spirit did not leave during that entire 1 HOUR lesson! IT was insane! I loved it and I’m looking forward to seeing her again(tomorrow).
I love you!
I did get the SD card. Tell him thanks for me! (: And I have already started taking pictures!
My coat is great! It’s still cold though. And for some odd reason, the buttons on my coat DO NOT WANT TO STAY ON! 3 have already popped off! And 2 are loose. We are going to sew them on again today. I actually didn’t have any gloves when I first got here…And the pair I bought…they magically disappeared. I have looked EVERYWHERE for them and cannot find them. So I’m going to buy another pair today, a cheap pair though. I was actually thinking about the thermals! I think they would be very warm. (: But see, I would never wear them again, well actually I probably would. 😛
I’ve been thinking about recording myself saying something to them on my camera so the next time I send the SD card you could show it to them. It would be just short but I don’t know what I would say ha. Oh well.
You know random side note…For some weird reason, I was thinking the other day about if you were to die. And then I started to cry and think about how you said that if you did, you would be right next to me and that I would start to hear ‘you are so beautiful’ bein sung in my ear. It made my teary and laugh at the same time…
Ha. I know this is my random thought I have. (:
I’m going to be sending pictures from my companions’s camera.
Enjoy those! I love you so much! I think we are heading out now.
Be good and remember to pray oft! Tell the class hi for me! (:
Love and miss your brains!
Miracles Happen
Can I just say, I know with out a doubt in my heart or mind that this gospel is true. If some of you didn’t know that, I suggest you go find out for yourself because! The Lord will answer your questions. (:
So starting out, this past week was our mission temple trip! It was so fantastic!
I also found out, the Birmingham temple is very small. o: But that’s okay. It’s amazing.
Thursday was fantastic. We got a mormon.org referral! Woot woot! He was actually a member who is less active and he has recently decided to come back to church. Also his wife is not a member and he just wants her to understand his beliefs. He told us whether she later decides to get baptized than perfect! (: And I totally believe it’s going to happen!
Friday We met with Orlando(the referral) Wow it went so fantastic! Also we were on exchanges this day so I was with a spanish sister. She is our Sister Training Leader. But it went so fantastic because they speak spanish Orlando speaks perfect english but his wife struggles just a little bit. So we taught in Spanish… I didn’t know what was going on half the time. But! I knew the spirit was there. It was just a fabulous lesson. I know that she will get baptized. (:
So then comes Saturday. And I can I just say. Saturday is the day that changed my mission (: Sister Christensen and I have made a goal for ourselves to go tracting everyday between 3:30-5. We think that’s a pretty goal because that is when it will be most beneficial to go tracting and can I just say fantastic! (: We knocked 3 doors in a row that all opened and listened. All 3 of those are new investigators. WE GOT RETURN APPOINTMENTS WITH ALL 3 OF THEM! 😀 It was a fantastic day. We even found more people that day but didn’t get full set return appointment. That’s okay because they are still fantastic people. Back to the 3 though. We were in an apartment complex and they don’t number the doors in this complex. They number the buildings and have letters on the doors. And each door we knocked in the building was letter E! It was crazy. We decided that it stood for the E-lect. All 3 of those people are goin to get baptized whether they like it or not! Ha just kidding we can’t force people into salvation but it’s going to happen. I have such a good feeling. (:
And this entire week! We are doing something almost every evening! An appointment for all but 2 evenings? That’s crazy! I’m so happy and I know that the Lord has answered my prayers. We have been diligent in our work and he is rewarding us for our efforts.
You can’t do things only once. You have to keep trying at them each day. It may be hard and boring. But the Lord will reward you. I know he will! (:
I leave that with you as my testimony and my prayers I leave with y’all as well.
I love y’all! Have a fantastic week! Keep Christ in your thought this Christmas season!
Remember Christmas means ‘MORE’ Christ. Because in Spanish ‘mas’ means ‘more’ So Christ-more or have MORE CHRIST in your seasons. (:
Love,
Sister Drummond
One Week! MTC Arrival!
So I have arrived at the MTC and I am so excited! To be honest I was scared but soon realized, I didn’t have to be. Everyone is so friendly and tries to help. The spirit here is so powerful I get filled no matter which building I walk into!
